Andalucian-based British professional photographer Geoff Simpson is an idiosyncratic contemporary photographer passionately emanating original works to his oeuvre and whose genre is constantly developing. The recipient of a multitude of prestigious international awards including: International Garden Photographer of the Year 2019, International Wildbird Photographer of the Year, and Nature's Best - Windland Smith Rice International Awards.
The synthesis of his outstanding natural history knowledge, commitment to long-term projects and artistic talent led to a highlight when he won the unique and widely coveted International Year of Biodiversity 2010 category at the British Wildlife Photography Awards. Before photography, he sought employment as a Consultant Gemmologist working in the City with such luminaries as Cartier, Chaumet, De Beers, Sotheby’s, and Wartski.
Now as a photographer, he lives to harness the dancing light, capture majestic horizons, and garner nature's wonderment. However, this is only half of the joy of my work; no artist wants their creations to stay hidden! His authentic masterpieces are showcased internationally in private collections, luxury hotels properties, interior-designer projects, museums and much sort after by prescient collectors. His art exists for those whose spirits are uplifted by nature’s formidable beauty.
Geoff's business activities include managing is a luxury-art procurement company and prestigious showroom gallery located in the historic city of Ronda, southern Spain.
His other business activities include videography and worldwide-corporate-speaking engagements. He offers natural history consultation and operates the ecotourism company, Andalucian Photo Adventures that specialises in providing unique opportunities to photograph the world's rarest feline the Iberian lynx to photographing the most bizarre landscape on Planet Earth, the Rio Tinto.
